Active Food Safety supports an initiative lead by the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO).  That initiative is known as ‘Partners with A Common Purpose’ (PwCP) .  It is an industry/regulatory alliance to put food safety stake holders in Safe Harbor where benefits to collaboration, and also barriers to collaboration and how to overcome them, are freely and candidly discussed.

The PwCP has created this questionnaire (link) to take the national pulse on the impacts of COVID-19 during this period of pandemic.  The questionnaire also explores the new area of smarter food safety.  At Active Food Safety, we support PwCP and encourage you to complete this brief questionnaire (estimated 10 - 15 minutes to complete) to add to the understanding.   The results will be first shared during the virtual Food Safety Summit on October 21.

Our Partner, Mick Miklos, is the Chairman of the Steering Committee for PwCP.  You may recall in our Webinar on August 25th that Mick talked about the important of industry/regulatory relationship - PwCP is a stellar example of building these relationship.

WE are Partners with A Common Purpose, or PwCP, and we recognize that public health and consumer protection is a common purpose that can be a major driver in successful collaboration.

WE establish equal partnership between regulatory and industry stakeholders at meetings and forums that allows for greater input, collaboration, and innovation toward continually improving the safety of the food supply and public health.

WE will share the data insights and collaboration learnings on our PwCP website https://pwcp.info/ on or before November 1, 2020.

Sincerely,

- Partners with A Common Purpose Steering Committee
