Ned Klein

Ned is a food safety professional with 10 years of experience across the food industry. As a consultant he has worked with over 100 food businesses including international restaurant groups, food delivery platforms, shared kitchens, ghost kitchens, and food manufacturers.

His passion is making food safety simple and approachable. Whether working with management at a high growth food-tech company, foodservice employees, or entrepreneurs working in a shared kitchen, Ned draws on his background in education to build and train enduring food safety programs.

In 2017 Ned launched FDA Reader, a free online resource dedicated to simplifying food regulations for food industry professionals. By providing clear explanations of food safety principles, he believes that food brands are more likely align with food regulations, reducing the prevalence of food borne illness.

Ned studied Government at Georgetown University and holds a Masters in Education from Arizona State University. In 2012 he received a Fulbright scholarship. Ned is also HACCP certified, PCQI-certified, and SQF-certified.
